As a dyslexic I found Faye to be a more supportive than many tutors on my psychology course. Fayes approach to teaching is motivational and fun. Faye provided clear essay writing and revision guidance that installed confidence and helped me to obtain good essay and exam marks. I succeed in obtaining an upper class 2 degree.

Faye was a pillar of support in my Critical Psychology module with the Open University. Her knowledge, patience and understanding of the material was absolutely amazing and at times it feels as if her explanations on certain themes and topics pulled me through my module and exam. With Faye's help I was able to achieve a whopping 90% on the Psychology exam....something I did not think I was capable of....Faye knew it though and brought out my ability to understand. I have worked with Faye on numerous psychology course groups since 2015 and she has always been a knowledgeable, empathetic tutor of the subject. Part of her ability is explaining difficult concepts in terms which are easy to understand and she is equally able to tutor groups or on an individual level if required. Her own journey towards gaining a First Class psychology degree gave insight into the diverse needs of students as well as a range of study and revision skills for face-to-face or online tutoring. Faye Griggs has been a source of constant help and support to me whilst being a student with the OU. As a student who suffers from anxiety and PTSD I am often unable to get to tutorials and even to contact my own tutor. Faye has provided me with an ear of support through my studies and structural practical support when it has come to all TMA's and revision. She has a unique way of rewording questions so that they can be viewed from a different angle and a fantastic way of making me realise I am able to answer the question with my own knowledge just by tweaking the way in which it is written. Faye has filled me with confidence this year and without her I do not believe I would have made it to the end of the course with the fantastic results I achieved. I believe that Faye is an amazing tutor, having a real passion to help and make students realise their potential as well as being incredibly well read and fully knowledgeable of the course materials.

Faye has the ability to take a frazzled student who is confused and exhausted and transformed and reignite their passion for learning.
She is able to explain the most complicated of theories / principles / modalities in the most straight forward and engaging way.
It is so clear she loves her area of expertise, not only due to her ability to skilfully teach it to others, but also her sheer enthusiasm.

Faye has helped so many student via social media over the years and had subsequently aided students to achieve far better results. She led many others via social media to assist students at a time when the Open University was going through a restructuring program that saw the removal of many of its residential schools. This would have left many student isolated if Faye had not risen to the challenge of filling the gap via social media and joining with others to deliver a crucial peer support network. She and her team have changed the lives of so many for the better. She is simply outstanding.

Faye is very knowledgeable and knows her subject well. She has given me many invaluable tips and hints while studying psychology, always patiently answering my inane questions!

Faye tutored me throughout my BSc Psychology. She had a way of explaining really complex phenomena in a way that I understood, and this was priceless in my progression. She also had a robust knowledge of different learning styles and helped me to find the best way for me to learn the information. Furthermore, I have terrible exam anxiety and Faye helped me to overcome this and achieve very good results! I could not be more grateful.

Having waited until my 50s until I decided to do a degree I was very nervous, however Faye has worked through the coursework with me from the middle of my first module and I will continue with her until I finish. Very patient and has a way of making the coursework make sense with patronising me. She also helped my teenager with revision skills for the months leading up to her GCSEs this year, making my teenager feel much more prepared for the intensity, plus helping her achieve the grades she required to get into Sixth form. Genuinely a fantastic tutor, glad I found her.
