About Phil
What are your qualifications: -Qualified teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. -Previously been a Head of Business Studies and Enterprise Adviser working in 3 different schools. -Part-time, teaching A-Level and BTEC at a local 6th form college. -Managing Director of a property business which gives a real-life experience that I can share within my teachings. What lessons do you teach? -Business Studies to A2, AS and BTEC National standards, achieving excellent results throughout. What are your experiences with tutoring? -Private tutoring in both small groups and individually. I make all lessons enjoyable and interactive and keep concepts simple, making it easier for the learner to understand. When are your availabilities? Anytime on WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS, and SATURDAYS Where are the lessons will take place? - Online via Zoom - Face to face (student's house or a convenient location for both me and the student) What is your rate: £40 per hour with a free 1-hour lesson for first-timer. ***I see tutoring as an ideal way of keeping in contact with education and especially with students. I see it as a rewarding way to give something back with its flexibility key to managing my time.

My teaching methodology is a combination of: Active learning Learner-centred Content-focused Lecture (where appropriate) Interactive/participative The methodology will be adapted based on my judgement for what is most appropriate for the client/student/learner. I am comfortable working with all the above methodologies. I focus on the process in order to boost confidence and enjoyment of learning that ultimately will boost attainment.
