About Cameron
I am a qualified Australian teacher with experience across primary and secondary classrooms, including Mathematics, Science and learning support. This gives me a strong understanding of how mathematical skills develop and where gaps from earlier years can make later topics feel unnecessarily difficult.
I enjoy helping students move from “I can’t do this” to understanding the reasoning behind a method. I am patient, direct and supportive, and I adjust explanations, examples and lesson pace to suit the individual learner.
My classroom experience has taught me that confidence grows through achievable challenge, useful feedback and visible progress. My goal is not simply to finish tonight’s homework; it is to help each student become more capable and independent over time.

Math becomes easier when each step is clear and the work is pitched at the right level. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths, gaps and goals, then build each lesson around what will make the greatest difference.
A typical 60-minute online lesson includes a clear explanation, worked examples, guided practice and a short independent check. I use visual models, practical examples and targeted revision rather than asking students to memorize steps without understanding them.
I support Years 5–10 students with arithmetic, fractions, percentages, measurement, algebra, geometry, data and problem solving. Lessons can focus on classwork, homework, assessment preparation or rebuilding missing foundations.
My approach is calm, encouraging and structured. I adapt the pace and amount of scaffolding for each learner, including students who need help sustaining attention, processing instructions or rebuilding confidence.
