About Tilley

Hello, I'm a passionate English teacher based in Manchester. I recently completed my PGCE and will be gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) as I begin my teaching career in September. Alongside my teacher training, I hold a degree in English, which has given me a strong understanding of both English Language and English Literature.

I enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities and achieve their academic goals. Whether a student needs support with reading and writing, exam preparation, essay structure, or developing analytical skills, I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to their individual needs.

I have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and understand the importance of adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities. I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and I take pride in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where learners feel comfortable, valued, and confident.

I work with students of all ages, from primary school through to A-Level, and my teaching style is patient, approachable, and focused on helping learners make steady, measurable progress. Lessons are available online or in Manchester, and I look forward to helping students reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I am a secondary English teacher who has recently completed a PGCE and hold a degree in English. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student, whether they are looking to improve confidence, develop reading and writing skills, prepare for exams, or achieve higher grades.

I teach students from primary school through to A-Level and can support English Language, English Literature, essay writing, comprehension, revision techniques, and academic study skills. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are structured around clear learning objectives, interactive discussion, and targeted practice. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. My teaching approach focuses on building both subject knowledge and confidence, helping students make measurable progress towards their goals.
