About Bridey
Bonjour! I’m a qualified French teacher with a degree from Canterbury Christ Church University. I attended a French school from the age of 4 to 13, and growing up in France with my French mother gave me an immersive experience in both the language and the culture. My parents still live in the south of France, where I spend many of my holidays with my little girl, keeping my connection to the language and culture strong.
In addition to my French qualifications, I also hold an undergraduate degree in English and American Literature from Kent University, which has given me a strong foundation in language and literature across different cultures. This background allows me to approach language learning from a broad, well-rounded perspective.

My teaching approach is interactive, student-centred, and designed to make learning French both enjoyable and effective. I use a variety of methods, including conversation practice, grammar exercises, vocabulary expansion, and cultural insights, to help students build confidence in both speaking and writing French.
For younger learners, I include fun, engaging activities and games, while for adults, I focus on conversation, grammar, and real-world application. Lessons typically last a minimum of one hour to ensure there’s enough time for thorough understanding and practice.
I teach all levels, from beginners to advanced, and offer lessons for students of all ages. Whether you're in school or an adult looking to improve your French. Every lesson is tailored to your needs, making sure you progress at your own pace!
