About Serena

With 14 years of ESL tutoring experience, I help school and college learners strengthen their English skills through active learning, continuous practice, and personalised instruction. My goal is to make English approachable, enjoyable, and useful for every student. I emphasise communication through speaking practice, pronunciation improvement, interactive discussions, and real-life dialogue tasks. These activities build fluency and help students express themselves confidently. Listening exercises using audio clips, short videos, and summarisation improve comprehension and attention.

Reading and writing lessons focus on vocabulary development, grammar structure, paragraph organisation, and creative writing tasks. I use templates, guided examples, and visual tools to simplify complex concepts. I incorporate technology such as interactive quizzes, digital worksheets, and multimedia explanations to keep students engaged and motivated. About the lesson

My ESL teaching methodology follows five core values: Accountability, Integrity, Flexibility, Communication, and Positivity. Accountability helps students become consistent through clear goals and regular practice tasks. Integrity ensures they receive honest feedback. I include speaking exercises, listening practice, grammar drills, reading tasks, and writing activities based on each learner’s needs. Communication builds confidence.

I create opportunities for meaningful conversations, real-life dialogues, and interactive speaking tasks so students can express themselves fluently. Positivity helps students stay inspired. I celebrate progress, encourage participation, and make learning enjoyable. Apart from ESL, I teach related subjects like Spoken English, Academic Writing, Grammar Foundations, and Reading Skills.
