About Troy
Before I started kindergarten, my mom looked at me teaching my younger brother everything that I could and thought "He's going to be a teacher some day..."
Fast forward to now...
I've been teaching music in my local community and online for 12 years and counting. I hold my level 9 with the Royal Conservatory of Canada, and attended the Victoria Conservatory of Music's post secondary classical music program.
Guitar is my specialty, where I can take on students from beginner to advanced in all styles (including classical and jazz). As well, I offer lessons from absolute beginner to post-secondary entrance prep for music theory, bass, and ukulele.
Outside of teaching, playing, and writing music, you can find me guest teaching local high school classes on financial literacy, practicing aerial hoop, trying my best to learn my way around a digital camera, and spending time outdoors with my partner and our adorable cat and dog

By tailoring the material to maintain relevance to them, and ensuring every student learns proper technique and fundamentals, my students build an unshakeable confidence, and the ability to tackle any future task they take on
