About Fernando
Picking up my first instrument at 8 years old changed everything about how I hear music. I spent 13 years gigging across the East Coast to turn those early sparks into a full career. Since graduating with a BMus in Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas, I have taught hundreds of students who want to break out of pentatonic jail.
My 10 years of teaching have taught me that music should always feel alive and connected to the fretboard. Working with everyone from absolute beginners to intermediate players, I stay focused on getting you playing comfortably. You will soon see how those scales translate directly into songs you actually want to perform.

We balance rigorous grade exam prep with creative songwriting and rhythmic development to ensure your playing maintains a professional edge. By the end of our 9 sessions, you will possess the tools to turn simple ideas into expressive solos that sound like real music rather than just exercises.
