About Kate
Hi I'm Kate. I have a maths degree from Oxford and over 20 years of experience as a tutor. I also work as a comedian and host an award-winning science show for young people. If you think you hate maths, don't worry, we will have fun and it will get easier!
Because of my performing work I teach strictly limited hours with super prof so please book early to ensure a regular slot.

Hi I’m Kate. I teach GCSE and A-level Maths and Further Maths (and related levels such as IB) as well as Oxford entrance exams (MAT) and I can also help with degree level maths on request.
I believe in understanding the topics fully, not relying on learning “tricks” for answering questions which can then let students down when exam questions come in different formats. This approach also lays the groundwork for ongoing maths, science and economics study using mathematical skills and being able to apply them usefully.
I have a number of past students who have been predicted 5/6 and ended up getting a 9. I have many ex-students now studying maths at degree level having previously believed they didn’t enjoy the subject. I am also happy to teach students with ADHD and autism.

Details
I can teach two students together (at the same level) for £35 each but at present only if parents can arrange the timing together. I usually teach Tues/Weds in the 4-7pm range.
