About Harerta
I am currently a university student (UAL) and have already experienced the typical English Literature course at A-Level (OCR exam board). Analysing and writing comparatively about texts and teaching others to do the same is something natural to me because of this. I enjoy reading and creative writing in my spare time. I am a very sociable and vocal person.

I specialise in The Gothic, the writings of Shakespeare, War poetry, analysing unseen extracts, structuring essays and unique wider contexts. Students of mine will learn how to embed quotes, include a lot of context throughout their paragraphs (that will make their writing stand out to examiners),construct a balanced argument, view proposition questions in various perspectives and hit all of their assessment objectives efficiently. My lesson times range from one hour to two hours (one sitting) per week, in a library setting or (if you choose to) I am able to teach within your own home. My first lessons with students typically consist of analysing an unseen extract- this allows me to gage how they write; what they are doing well and what can be improved. From there, students send me their course details and I prepare each lesson based on their learning requests as well as what I see they need to improve (from their writing). I sometimes set small homework tasks to ensure students keep engaging with the content and are practicing their writing and reading skills. I will also use my past papers as examples for students to learn from. Lastly, as a student myself I am able to offer unique advice on how to prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams, and what I wish I did when I was in their position.
