About Luke

Having graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in History, I'm looking to continue engagement with education by trying to help others in any way I can. I remember my time at school fondly, and my time at university with even greater fondness, so if you're looking for an adaptable, enthused tutor, look no further! Having continued my studies in History and Politics beyond A-level, I am well equipped to understand the expected performance of a Sixth Former in their time at school with additional experience in further education and what it means to think about academia in a variety of settings.

About the lesson

I believe firmly in that discussion is the best way to learn, so to have a conversation about your subject is by far the best way to study! Sessions up to 1 hour would provide time to discuss individual topics, think through exam technique, and look at how interesting ideas can be transposed into excellent results in exam settings. I look to explore methods of teaching and learning to suit tutees as individuals, finding what works best with you. Having received my BA (Hons) from Cambridge, after securing A*s in both History and Politics at A-level (as well as an A in Biology), I will be looking to tutor for GCSE and A-level, also being open to offer advice and feedback on the Oxbridge admissons process.
