About Madeleine
2018 - MSc Biology, specialising in Biodiversity Conservation and Restoration, international masters at the university of Antwerp, Belgium.
2016- BSc Zoology, at Cardiff University, UK
Whilst I am British by origin, I grew up in the South of France, and am such am completely bilingual in English and French and would be delighted to assist in language lessons as well.
I initially gained experience in working in a teaching environment whilst volunteering as a Teacher's Assistant in a primary school during my degree. Following the end of my MSc I worked as an activity instructor with PGL, the outdoor education centre. In this role I engaged with children aged 7 to 17, teaching them games, hobbies, problem solving and team work, among other things.
At the beginning of this year I began one on one tutoring, and have had the pleasure of teaching some wonderful, motivated and inspiring students. The topics I have taught this year include 1st year university level biology, of great enjoyment for me to review, beginners French, and A-level English as a foreign language (with a French student). I have given these lessons both online, via Skype, and in person.

I will base the teaching structure on the level and interests of the student. I believe in these types of tutoring sessions there is much more flexibility to working with the optimal comfort of the student. I also believe that talking about a subject as a continuous conversation makes for much better understanding, that lasts longer.
If the student has a curriculum that needs to be followed that is absolutely fine, we can work on material straight from there, or else we can go over more particular issues and questions.
