About Nicole
My name is Nicole and I found a passion for teaching while pursuing my degree in Neuroscience. I found that I had more fun helping out my classmates than actually learning the material! Throughout my education I have prided myself on being the go-to person for help in class.
Science and Math can be challenging as it requires understanding many small details. I have used different techniques that allowed me to master these concepts. I hope to share these with you and help you understand in a way that makes sense in your brain. Learning in class means that concepts are only explained one way, and that might not make sense to you. That does not mean that you aren't smart!
I have a laid back personality and make tutoring sessions as comfortable as possible. I understand how frustrating school can be sometimes, so I hope to ease those worries and help you get through these years.

My lessons will focus on your strengths. Do you find that you are a more visual learner, or would rather have steps listed out in a procedure? After taking your learning style into account, I will create an interactive lesson where we will review the material together at your pace. After our lesson you will receive some homework related to our topic that we can discuss in our next session.
I have experience in all aspects of science and want to make learning fun for you. Learning science sneakily helps you with critical thinking skills for your future and I hope to show you how.
These lessons are for math/science students from grades 7-12 in Alberta. I have experience tutoring kids with ASD.
