About Anjali
I’m Anjali, a recent graduate from The New School for Performing Arts in Vocal Performance. I'm actively performing around NYC and releasing my own music on streaming platforms. I currently teach at Church Street School of Music in Tribeca, leading singing and choral classes, and I’ve taught kids in elementary schools across NYC. I bring professional training in pop, R&B, jazz, musical theater, and classical music, with a unique global perspective from studying in Lagos, London, and New York. I create a supportive space where students can develop their voices, technique, and authentic self-expression.

Hi! I'm Anjali Daswani a singer songwriter based in NYC! I teach voice and choral music with a balance of technical skill and creativity. Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to each individual, focusing on breath support, tone, and musical expression while keeping the process fun and engaging. I teach pop, musical theatre, classical, and jazz, blending warm-ups, ear training, and music theory with songs the student is excited to sing. My lessons are designed to be enjoyable while building strong musical foundations.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A lesson begins with vocal warm-ups and breathing exercises, followed by ear training or rhythm work. We then apply these skills to a chosen piece of repertoire, working on vocal technique, expression, and confidence. With younger students, I use interactive activities and storytelling through music to keep learning enjoyable.
Who the Lessons Are For:
I work with children, teens, and adults, from beginners just starting their musical journey to students preparing for auditions or performances. Lessons can be tailored for solo voice, group singing, or choral development.
