About Anastasia
As a recent A-Level graduate with great results and a passion for maths and science, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them. I’ve already helped many students improve their confidence and abilities in maths, and I’m passionate about making complex topics feel accessible and enjoyable. I’m about to begin a Physics degree at Imperial College London, one of the UK’s top universities, and I bring that academic focus and enthusiasm to every lesson. I also have a younger sister whom I’ve supported throughout her schooling which has taught me to be patient, adaptable, and encouraging—qualities I bring to every lesson. My tutoring style is student-focused and flexible. I aim to make complex topics understandable by breaking them down into manageable steps and using real-life examples wherever possible. I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs—whether they need help mastering specific concepts, preparing for exams, or building overall confidence in the subject. I like to begin by identifying any gaps in understanding, then use active problem-solving, guided questions, and practice exercises to strengthen those areas. I encourage students to ask questions freely and think critically, rather than just memorising. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, but I can adjust the length depending on the student's schedule and concentration level. I have experience tutoring maths for both GCSE and A-Level students, and I’m comfortable teaching sciences at those levels as well. My lessons are ideal for secondary school students aged 11–18, especially those preparing for GCSEs, IGCSEs, or A-Levels in maths and science.
