About Aliya
I’m studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath. Maths, Chemistry and Physics have always been my favourite subjects so this degree was an easy choice for me.
My strengths are problem-solving, analysing information and having excellent attention to detail. I’m also very patient and understand how frustrating it can be to struggle with a subject (it was French for me!) I believe I’d make an excellent tutor because of these attributes.

My lessons promise to be engaging and thorough.
For students looking to excel, I adapt a coaching style to encourage them to find a solution rather than just providing the answers myself. I find this helps individuals to learn and helps them retain the information.
However, I understand this approach doesn’t necessarily work for all, especially if a subject is significantly difficult for an individual. In this case, I’d work on the basics and build an understanding from there - including helping the student identify the most troublesome areas and the potential pitfalls from missing details.
