About Lysander Sky

I'm a RMIT Graduate and Masters Student with a background in creative writing. I have a bachelor in Design (Games) and am continuing my study into Animation and Interactivity. I've written for television, organised local events for game developers and I completed my own VCE with an ATAR of 91.7.

I have three years of experience mentoring High School aged students through a Media and Graphics certificate, two years experience teaching Junior Robotics at Primary level.

I understand not just what it takes to succeed during years 11 and 12 but how to set goals and prioritise the work that's going to get you where you want to go.

Each student is different and I believe it's important for a teacher to be flexible in their approach. We'll work out how you learn best and help you to get the most out of your study time.

I believe my experience will be most helpful to students wishing to go into creative pursuits such as design, media, graphics, arts or literature/ creative writing.

For those studying arts/folio subjects I will work with you to build a robust folio that will impress your teachers and universities.

I aim to help students with the written work that goes along with any creative class. Often knowing how to justify and explain your work is as important as your creative skill, and I will help you to develop the right vocabulary.

I also understand that for many students, meeting the English and Maths requirements for their desired university course can be a roadblock to success, and I will ask ready to help you through them.

I have allowed for hours outside of tutoring sessions in my rates which will allow me to give detailed feedback on your work, as well as prepare learning exercises for any areas you wish to study further.
