About Catherine
Catherine has a strong scientific background, having achieved a BSc in Neuroscience, with a foundation year in Biomedical Science, from the University of Leeds, achieving a 2.1 (67% average) grade. She also has A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths and her knowledge is therefore spread widely across all scientific disciplines.
She is incredibly passionate about education and enjoys sharing her knowledge, empowering others and stimulating their curiosity. She has a wealth of prior experience teaching in several different contexts. She has worked as an au pair, private tutor and teaching assistant, teaching Science, Maths and English, and gained further experience working with young people by becoming a regular volunteer at her local youth club.
She always aims to try and make learning engaging, fun and memorable and is a strong believer that by teaching a subject by which she is truly fascinated she can easily inspire others. Her students have consistently improved because of her methods and she is confident in mentoring and supporting students up to 18 years.
