About Johnson
I am a young, passionate extensionist. I am an enthusiastic researcher and I love fieldwork, most especially behavioral studies. I had my Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture and I researched; Analysis of shea butter production among rural women processors in Ilorin south local Government Area, Kwara State, Nigeria. My master’s degree in Agricultural Extension with research on socio-cultural factors influencing pastoralist-farmer conflict in Kwara State Nigeria. I am currently studying for a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension and Rural Management, Investigating the Role of Women in Agricultural Extension Advisory Services in South Africa: Current status, Challenges, and Prospects.

My most employed and preferred method of teaching depends on the number of students and the type of subject I am handling but on average, I often make use of three basic methods; the first is the discussion method which enables me to adequately interact well with my students and to obtain immediate feedback from them. Secondly, I use the question and answer method to test their level of knowledge and to ensure they have grasped or understood the particular concept that I want to pass across and finally, I engage in the discovery learning method, this from my experience is highly effective as it encourages sound interaction and allows the students to learn on their own, I have learned from experience that, it is a very impactful method as students tend to remember well what they discover on their own.
In all the high schools I have worked as a teacher in Nigeria, I recorded excellent results teaching the students and often rated as the best teacher in the schools. The students’ performance is evidenced by the high percentage (over 70%) of our students who were granted admission to the university due to their success in the foundational program this includes their success in the national examination (WAEC, NECO & UTME) which was is a pre-requisite for university admission.
