I introduce each topic to my students, for them to read ahead and have an idea on what it says, after which I approach the said topic and explain in detail whatever they don't understand with regards to the topic. I'm disciplined, and I always expect my students to always read the topic before the next class, failure to do so, I would teach that topic.
