About Shaan

I am a first-year Health Science student at Northeastern University with plans of teaching important science courses in the future. I graduated high school in 2024 in Stamford, Connecticut with the hopes of moving to Boston to explore the many dimensions of Chemistry and how it plays a role in animal well-being.

About the lesson

Learning difficult subjects can be stressful, especially with no direction. As a tutor, it is my duty to relieve this stress and do my best to make it fun. I use Socratic Questioning which involves asking students step-by-step questions to help them get to an end goal. This not only encourages them to step outside of their comfort zone, but it helps them build confidence in their thinking skills. Learning isn't always linear, and I am passionate about working with children to overcome their setbacks and excited to watch them gradually improve. My lessons involve teaching common core K-8 Math and Reading, Algebra I and II, and High School Chemistry curriculums. If you have your own curriculum, I am more than willing to explore it.
