About Aayush
Growing up, I faced my fair share of academic challenges. There were subjects that felt like insurmountable obstacles, leaving me frustrated and unsure of myself. Everything changed when I found a mentor who took the time to understand my struggles. With their support, I gradually transformed not only my grades but also my confidence.
This experience inspired me to give back. I want to be that guiding presence for others, helping students navigate their own challenges. As a first-year medical student, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of understanding in subjects like Chemistry, Biology, and Maths. I believe that every student deserves the chance to feel empowered in their learning.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can explore their potential without fear. I want to help them not just memorize facts, but truly understand the material and build confidence along the way. Teaching isn’t just a job for me; it’s a way to honor the impact that mentorship had on my own life.

As a first-year medical student at UCL, I have a strong foundation in biochemistry, which is central to my studies. I have experience tutoring friends and family, and I believe in a teaching approach that blends understanding with memory retention.
In my experience, the subjects I tutor—Chemistry, Biology, and Maths—require both memorization and comprehension. As a tutor, I tailor my style to meet the individual needs of each student, introducing new methods and techniques that best suit their learning preferences. I prioritize understanding my students’ existing knowledge and work upwards from there, ensuring that we address any crucial gaps in their understanding.
My lessons are designed for students from GCSE to A Level.
Additionally, I offer interview practice for prospective medical students. Having recently navigated interviews at both UCL and Lancaster, I am well-versed in the current styles and types of questions, and I can help students prepare effectively.
