About James

My name is James, and I'm a second-year undergraduate physics student at the University of Birmingham, one of the leading departments in the country. I took A-levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I have tutored maths and physics up to GCSE and would love to tutor A-level physics, as I know it can be tough! I emphasise learning and understanding over memorisation so that you have a strong basis, and a genuine interest in what you're doing.

About the lesson

I focus on building confidence, clarity, and genuine understanding. My lessons are interactive and student-centred: I break concepts down into simple steps to make sure any holes in my tutees' knowledge are filled. I encourage open discussion to ensure tutees feel enthusiasm for the subject they're studying, and maximise their chance of a great grade.
