About Carter
Performing at the Curtis Institute of Music shaped my view of artistic precision. I focus on technical clarity through posture and hand position. My 13 years of teaching includes ear training and sight transposition work.
I guide students through pop, contemporary, and accompaniment skills while ensuring they build sight playing habits. You will find my approach emphasizes the underlying logic of music over rote memorization. It is a steady way to ensure that your playing remains consistent and reliable throughout your progress.

My background at the Curtis Institute of Music informs the way I break down complex pieces into manageable sections. 13 years of teaching has shown me that technical habits are best built in the early stages.
