About Emily
Playing stages across Nashville and Austin for 13 years helped me develop a practical grasp of the instrument. I spend my time teaching teens, kids, and advanced learners how to actually make music. You might want to drill power chords or work through grade exam prep. I also cover reading tabs, acoustic technique, and essential music theory.
My background includes 10-plus years of gigging which keeps my perspective grounded in real results. Teaching absolute beginners is just as rewarding as helping a soloist find their voice. Ear training and improvisation are regular topics in my studio.

Starting with a free trial session allows me to assess your level correctly. You will find that our time together focuses on getting you playing immediately. I bring my guitar and sometimes a portable amp to your home.
We work on your songs or classics to keep things relevant. My 13 years of experience inform how I break down complex ideas. You will learn to coordinate guitar and voice naturally. We move through technical skills like improvisation and reading music with ease.
