About April
I'm a senior at Archbishop Mitty High School headed to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology next year. I have a strong interest and background in STEM supported by many research projects, including my work on video compression algorithms and my development of wildfire models. I've taken 14 AP courses and maintained a 4.73 academic GPA while being the point guard/team captain on the #13 ranked basketball team in the country. In my free time, I enjoy coaching my old club basketball teams and writing about sports in the school newspaper. Nonetheless, one of my greatest passions has always been teaching, and I hope to continue embracing this love through superprof.

I've been a volunteer tutor at organizations such as Almaden Valley Tutors and a peer tutor at my high school for many years. I've taught all ages from elementary school to high school and through the years, I've developed a unique tutoring style aimed at keeping students engaged and focused throughout the lesson. I believe in consistency and reinforcement for young learners, which is why I'm a passionate tutor, who encourages students to pursue their academic interests even beyond these tutoring sessions. I believe my experience thus far in high school can provide a positive and enriching experience for all students.
