About Sara

Bonjour! I'm Sara, and I am a y13 student this year. French is my favorite subject and I have been consistently achieving the highest grades in my class from y9-y13.

I lived in Paris for an exchange last year, where I spent a significant amount of time in a French-speaking lycée (high school) developing my listening comprehension and oratory skills in particular. I absolutely love the language and culture and am so excited to work with you!

(I like to think) I am empathetic, compassionate and have a good sense of humor. I always put 100% into everything I do and tutoring is no exception! I will work with you to help you reach your goals to the best of my abilities, whatever they may be.

About the lesson

I can teach beginners from scratch, all the way to high school students doing either NCEA or the IB Diploma and everything in between. Lessons will typically be around an hour long, with the option to shorten or lengthen the duration depending on your needs and preferences. I can provide specific and highly relevant resources and support for those currently learning French at school as I am very familiar with both local and global curricula. Spending time in France with other French teenagers has meant I also have a significant vocabulary of "slang" French, which will be useful to those looking to become more conversational in the language.

I've been tutoring for around 3 years now and have worked with all sorts of students with different learning styles. I have learned to adapt my teaching methodology to suit the individual, and I am confident we can find something that works for you. Please be in touch if you have any questions at all.
