About Maria Emilia
I am a high school student, I am 17 years old and I am from Mexico. As you can see, English is not my mother tongue, however I have always been familiar with it as my dad is from Ireland and my mom is an English teacher. Since I was little, my mother spoke to me in English and she instilled in me to watch movies and programs in English so as not to feel this language as a foreign language but as my other language. I want to be able to pass on my knowledge of English to other people who may not be familiar with it, because although at school it may sometimes bore us to learn grammar, mastering another language is much more than spelling rules. Mastering another language, especially English, opens our minds and doors to many opportunities, not only work but also cultural.

My idea to help those who have difficulty in English is to provide them with a dynamic and relaxed class. I will seek that in class instead of learning the old-fashioned following just the method of a book, we have conversations like those you have between friends, talking about topics that interest you and seeing useful vocabulary for what you want to achieve. Well, although it is important to know how to write and read in English, I consider it more important to have confidence to be able to speak and express yourself in this language.
