About Siavash
I'm an SFU graduate with a double major in Chemistry and Molecular Biology & Biochemistry, with hands-on undergraduate research experience in chemistry.
My research focused on developing and studying electrocatalysts for CO₂ reduction, which gave me extensive experience applying chemistry concepts in a real laboratory setting.
As a tutor, my goal is to make chemistry feel logical rather than overwhelming. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, explain ideas in different ways when needed, and encourage students to ask questions whenever something is unclear.

I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind chemistry rather than simply memorizing equations or reaction patterns. Once the underlying concepts make sense, solving unfamiliar problems becomes much easier.

• Organic Chemistry I and II
• Reaction mechanisms, synthesis, and stereochemistry

• Homework, assignments, and exam preparation
During lessons, we first identify where you are having difficulty. I explain the concept clearly, work through examples with you, and then have you solve problems with guidance until you are comfortable working independently.
