About Gavin
I am a dedicated singing tutor with 10 years of teaching experience, working with high school and college students. So far, I’ve had the joy of teaching 150–200 students, helping each one improve their voice, gain confidence, and grow a true love for music. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, encouragement, and creativity. I believe every student has a unique voice, and my goal is to help them discover and strengthen it. I focus on building strong vocal technique, breath control, pitch, and stage presence. I also make lessons fun and flexible to match each student’s style and goals. I have guided students through school performances, competitions, and personal musical projects. Many have shown amazing growth, moving from shy beginners to confident performers. Watching them succeed is my biggest achievement. I teach with honesty, open communication, and a passion for music. Whether you're just starting out or aiming to go professional, I make sure the experience is fun, supportive, and motivating. I believe in collaboration and open communication. I listen to my students and work together with them to build strong vocal techniques, improve tone, breath control, pitch, and expression. Creativity is at the heart of every lesson—I encourage students to explore different styles like choir, pop, R&B, classical, jazz, and musical theatre. I also bring experience in related areas like flute, saxophone, trumpet, beatboxing, and stringed instruments, which helps develop a full musical understanding. With over 10 years of teaching, I focus not just on skill, but also on building confidence, passion, and musical integrity. Let's grow your voice together!
