About Lily
I am an enthusiastic piano educator with 10 years of professional experience, having successfully taught around 300 students. My learners range from teenagers preparing for school programmes to adults exploring piano as a lifelong interest.
My philosophy is simple: understand deeply, practise consistently, and perform confidently. I focus on correct technique, including finger strength, timing, articulation, and dynamic control. I also integrate music theory so students understand harmony and structure in a practical way.
Lessons are carefully designed to balance technical exercises and enjoyable repertoire. Beginners build strong foundations, while advanced students refine performance techniques and interpretation skills. I also help students prepare for stage performances and graded music assessments.
Many of my students have gained confidence and achieved strong examination results. Seeing students grow from beginners into expressive performers is one of my greatest achievements. I aim to inspire discipline, creativity, and a lifelong love for piano.

My approach to teaching piano combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and disciplined learning. Piano requires patience and consistency, so I guide students with clear demonstrations and structured lessons. I focus on scales, chords, coordination, and dynamic control while explaining concepts in easy steps.
Communication builds trust and helps students feel comfortable asking questions. Creativity encourages students to explore their musical imagination and express emotions through their playing. I include small composition tasks and improvisation exercises to strengthen understanding.
Flexibility allows me to design lessons based on each student’s goals, whether for exams, stage performance, or hobby learning. I also teach theory basics, rhythm studies, and ear development to support complete musicianship. My goal is to help students become skilled and expressive performers.
