About Lydie
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 8 years of professional experience, having guided around 300 students, including teenagers, college learners, and adults. My lessons focus on helping students strengthen technical skills, develop musicality, and perform with confidence.
My teaching philosophy combines strong technical foundations with creative musical expression, emphasising posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, and theory.
I also encourage students to interpret music thoughtfully and connect emotionally with each piece. Lessons balance technique, repertoire, and theory, with beginners gaining confidence through foundational exercises and simple pieces, while advanced students refine performance skills and explore complex compositions.
Many students have achieved excellent results in graded exams and performed confidently in recitals and competitions. My mission is to guide students towards becoming confident, expressive, and independent pianists who enjoy their musical journey.

I remain flexible, adjusting teaching methods whenever needed to ensure comprehension. Collaboration is encouraged through open communication and shared goal setting, helping students stay motivated.
I foster a positive learning space that supports creativity and reduces performance anxiety. Alongside piano lessons, I offer instruction in music theory, keyboard skills, harmony, and beginner composition to develop well-rounded musicians.
