I'm a freelance software developer that has been working in the industry for more than 4 years. I love teaching and have been a teaching assistant in my university for introduction to programming and OOP. My main field of interest is server and mobile programming

About the lesson

I teach languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, Go (Server), Flutter (Mobile Development) and other programming languages. Learning programming needs to be easy, I teach the basic building blocks, less memorizing and more understanding. Expect yourself to be able to create simple projects after a few lessons. Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?
My first experience using computer is when I was in my primary school, at that time I did not have any computer at home, it a bit hard to grasp how things work and how the magic happens, but this sparks my curiosity to explore more about computing and how it helps us to be more efficient in our everyday life.
What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?
The technology evolution that I think is a turning point in the field is the invention of the programming language. I think this is really important as by using programming language, humans can sort of "communicate" what they want to do to a machine in a predictable and abstracted way, which means that automation is more and more accessible to everyone.
Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.
My expertise is mainly in Mobile and Server side development, I like to work in this field as there are more and more people using and relying on their mobile devices for all sorts of stuff and the integration between people's lives and mobile devices are getting closer than ever. I hope by operating in this field I can help more and more people to be able to live their life easier and safer by having the devices to do the work for them.
Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?
Yes! They do inspire me, they make me believe that sometimes people with great ambition can really change how people are living.
What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?
I would say that I have the exact same problem before, but after you take a look at the basis of IT, especially the program side of it, it is just a very logical process that most people can grasp with some practice and patience.
What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?
I have other passions such as film photography, electronics and learning languages. I believe by learning more skills we can make our life more meaningful.
