About Kyle
I am a chess professional based in Adelaide, Australia. I started learning the game in 2015 and have since grown to become a master level player. I became the South Australian Champion in 2019 and repeated the feat in 2020 and 2023. In 2025 I became a chess master, being awarded the CM title by the international chess federation.
I hope to share what I have learned about the game with my students and guide them to improvement. I have a lot of experience in chess communication and am able to explain ideas, concepts, and moves clearly, and in appropriate language for players of each skill level.

Australian Allegro Champion 2024.
South Australian Champion 2019, 2020,2023.
Adelaide Champion 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020,2024.
Ranking in the top 40 players in Australia.

I will share the lessons I have learned on my journey as a player, and help guide my students to improving their abilities. My lessons aim to target your weak areas as a player, and direct focus to where you have the most potential for improvement.
I am able to provide teaching on:
-Tactics
-Calculation
-Strategy (Including pawn structures and piece maneuvers)
-Practical skills (eg. time management and practical decision making)
-Insight into Openings
-Opening Preparation skills
-Essential Endgame Fundamentals
Online lessons can be conducted via video or voice call. Using your chess website of choice (lichess.org, chess.com, etc)
In person lessons are negotiable in the Adelaide area.
