About Carmen
Hello, I was born in Mexico City and lived there for 27 years.
During that period I got my Preparatory Diploma in the Health Sciences. I also got my Certificate as a Bilingual Executive Assistant in Spanish and English languages with Honors in the 1st Place. In addition, I worked for a well known private industrial company for five years and held various positions.
I registered in English programs at Harmon Hall, a top private English School and got various certificates in English language, level advanced and became an English private tutor for a small group of students.
I moved to Canada since 1990 and became citizen. I worked for the Canadian government at the Toronto Community Housing and was elected by the Board Members as a Spanish Translator and at various ministries for over 30 years and then I retired.
During my free time I continue practicing piano, embroidery, pottery, swimming, aerobics, and tai chi exercises.

Hola, yo nací en la Ciudad de México y viví ahí por 27 años.
Durante ese período recibí mi Diploma de Preparatoria en las Ciencias de Salud. También recibí my Certificado de Secretaria Executive Bilingüe en Español e Inglés con Honores en el Primer Lugar. Además, trabajé para una compañía bien conocida privada industrializada por cinco años y ejecuté varios puestos.
Me registré en varios programas de Inglés en Harmon Hall, una escuela de Inglés prestigiosa privada y recibí varios certificados de Inglés, nivel avanzado y me convertí en tutor privado de Inglés para un grupo pequeño de estudiantes.
Me mudé a Canadá desde 1990 y me convertí en un ciudadana. Trabajé para el Gobierno Canadiense en la Casa de Comunidad de Toronto donde fui elegido por los Miembros del Consejo como Traductor en Español y en varios ministros por más de 30 años y después me jubilé.
Durante mi tiempo libre continúo practicando piano, bordado, cerámica, natación, aeróbicos, y ejercicios de tai chi.

I enjoy teaching Spanish language to students at all levels from beginners, intermediate to advanced who are interested and committed to continuously learning by following my lessons instructions, participating in class and engaging in activities and collaborating to put into practice what I taught in the class.
I am also flexible with my time to accommodate the students’ schedule according to their needs.
