About Ellie
I am an experienced and calm SEMH/ALN practitioner who has spent years supporting young people who learn or feel differently.
I previously worked in a PRU where I designed and led social-emotional interventions, supported learners with complex needs, and trained staff on neurodivergence.
Families describe me as patient, understanding and able to meet young people exactly where they are. My sessions are gentle, flexible, and tailored to each child's communication style, sensory needs, interests, understanding and confidence level.
I specialise in supporting neurodivergent learners, anxious learners, emotionally based school avoidance, and those who haven't thrived in mainstream settings, helping them feel safe, capable and genuinely understood.

My sessions are calm, structured, and neurodiversity-aware. I use a relational practice approach which blends emotional regulation strategies, executive functioning support, and interest-led learning to help each learner feel safe, understood and able to succeed without pressure. I am an expert in Pathological Demand Avoidance, and use a PDA-friendly approach with all learners.
Lessons are typically 45-60 minutes long, but shorter sessions are available for learners with shorter attention spans. As all my sessions are bespoke, lessons will look different for each student, and what this looks like will be discussed beforehand to ensure I am meeting both the young person's needs and parents' expectations.
I hold a first-class BA hons in Inclusive education, and have extensive experience in PRU settings and additional needs schools and resource centres. I also have a master's in Computer Science and AI, and experience using gaming and coding to re-engage learners.
My sessions are ideal for learners aged 7-18, who need support with SEMH, SEN, ALN emotional regulation, confidence, social skills, behavioural needs and foundational literacy and numeracy skills. I specialise in working with learners with autism, PDA profiles, ADHD, trauma and those who have struggled with mainstream settings.
I will work with you and your child, to plan and deliver bespoke intervention sessions, to develop on their area of need, and all sessions will be personalised to help them succeed and become the best versions of themselves.
