About Gaurav

Hi, I'm Gaurav, a dedicated piano teacher with a passion for helping students truly understand music — not just play it. My teaching style is structured, clear, and focused on building a strong musical foundation. I guide students through every layer of music, from sight-reading and theory to ear training and improvisation. I specialise in preparing students for Trinity Piano Exams, but I also work with anyone who’s serious about learning music in a meaningful, educational way. Whether you're a beginner wanting a strong start or a more advanced player looking to fill in the gaps, my lessons are designed to empower you with the tools to think, hear, and play like a real musician. If you’re looking for lessons that connect the dots — the how and the why of everything you play — I’d love to help you on your musical journey.

About the lesson

No shortcuts. No fluff. Just the real mechanics behind great playing. I offer structured, in-depth piano education for students who want to understand the science behind music and how everything works while they play. Whether you're preparing for Trinity Piano Exams or simply want to grow as a well-rounded musician, my lessons cover: Staff Notation – Learn to read music fluently Ear Training – Develop your ability to play by ear and recognise intervals, chords, and progressions. Improvisation – Build creative skills and explore musical expression. Music Theory – Understand how music is built so you can play with confidence and intention. Technique & Exercises – Strengthen your fingers, control, and musicality. I welcome students of all ages and levels who are eager to learn meaningful music. While I'm open to various styles, I don’t specialise in teaching basic pop songs with minimal educational value. If you’re passionate about learning music deeply and properly, I’d love to work with you.
