About Sophie
I am currently a student working towards a degree in Statistics and Psychology. In my studies, I have covered a wide variety of topics and gained expertise in many fields. I am fluent in French, have a working knowledge of chemistry, and have extensive experience in all math-related fields. I have also spent much of my free time at school tutoring peers as well as young children in my community. I enjoy helping students work through difficult subjects to gain a deeper understanding of the topic as a whole.

The most important approach to tutoring for me is to cater the experience to work for each and every student. Not everyone learns the same way and I believe that the most efficient progress is made when the experience fits the student. In this, I create lesson plans with supplemental materials that aid the success of every student, communicate with the student about what approach best suits their learning, and make sure to create an environment where students feel comfortable. I have prior experience tutoring children ranging from preschool to high school level in math, science, and French-related courses. I am also very detail-oriented and organized, frequently communicating directly with parents in order to best serve their children.
