My tutoring approach is friendly, structured and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I aim to make Psychology feel less overwhelming by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and checking understanding as we go.
Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based. I use a mixture of explanations, discussion, retrieval practice, exam-style questions, essay planning, model answers and revision techniques. For A-Level and GCSE students, I can support with key theories, research studies, evaluation, research methods, essay structure and exam technique. For university students, I can also help with academic writing, critical thinking, research methods, revision planning and building confidence with assignments.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged where needed. At the beginning, we will identify the student’s goals and areas they find difficult, then create a plan that feels achievable. I can provide resources, practice questions and clear next steps between lessons where helpful.
I have a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Psychology. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of psychological theory, research methods, academic writing and how to approach assessments effectively. I am patient, encouraging and used to creating a calm environment where people feel comfortable asking questions.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Psychology students, as well as undergraduate university students studying Psychology or related subjects. I welcome students who are aiming for top grades, need support catching up, or simply want to feel more confident in the subject.
