About Duane

I am an Australian living in London the past 20 years and have been teaching and actively playing in bands as a lead guitarist & vocalist for over 30 years, here and back home. I would love to pass on my knowledge and experience to you in a fun and friendly way, after all music is all about enjoyment. I enjoy teaching, and for me the guitar is the ultimate instrument of expressiveness and a lifelong learning journey itself. It is an instrument you can always take further no matter what your current level. My influences are extremely varied, and that will come through in what I teach, giving you a breadth of styles to help you stand out as a player.

About the lesson

I specialise in teaching you how to play a little more outside the box through teaching you new techniques and expanding your guitar and overall musical knowledge, getting you to think about your playing in new ways. I'll give you hacks and shortcuts to simplify your learning and allow you to improvise better 'on the fly'. If you're a beginner I'll get you playing things you enjoy quickly and keep expanding from there. If you're an intermediate player who wants to get to the next level, I'll identify the gaps and get you there. If you're an advanced player stuck in a rut and want someone to work with you on where you can make some big leaps in your playing again, I will be able to help you!
