About Jessica

I am a university student studying primary teaching. I absolutely adore working with kids and aim to make my lessons as fun as possible. I understand that tutoring can sometimes make children feel self conscious and anxious. Therefore I pride myself in making sure all my students are comfortable, that they can talk to me freely and that there will never be any judgment. I always make sure my students feel supported and that each lesson is focused purely on what their concerns are.

About the lesson

Tutoring allows me to make a direct and positive impact on a child´s academic journey. Through personalised attention and tailored guidance, I have the opportunity to boost a child´s confidence in their abilities. Every child is unique, with their own learning style and pace, therefore, tutoring allows me to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs, ensuring a more effective and personalized learning experience. Additionally, tutoring involves working through challenges and setbacks together. It offers an opportunity to teach resilience, determination, and the importance of overcoming obstacles, which is a valuable life lesson.

The typical length of my lessons is 60 minutes and ranges from ages 4-18.

Primary: all subjects
Year 7-10: English, Visual Arts and Food technology
HSC: English, Visual Arts, Society and Culture, Hospitality

I offer both in-person and online lessons, complete with additional text support and feedback beyond our sessions. The content is tailored to your specific requirements, whether you need instruction, want to progress, or seek assistance with assignments. Your learning experience is my priority!
