About Srivishnu
Hi there! My name is Srivishnu Pyda, and I’m a junior at the University of Maryland, College Park. I’m majoring in computer science, so I have a strong interest and foundation in math. I have taken advanced coursework such as linear algebra and discrete mathematics.
I have a year of experience tutoring middle school students in math and fundamental computer science concepts. I worked one on one with these students and learned how to adapt my teaching style to the students’ style of learning either by finding new ways to explain a concept or adjusting the pace of the lesson.

In my tutoring methods, I prioritize clear and effective communication, as well as a focus on building a strong foundation in concepts before diving into more advanced material. I believe that this approach helps students understand the material more deeply and build confidence in their abilities. I am also a strong believer in the importance of hands-on practice, and strive to incorporate this into my tutoring sessions through exercises and problems for students to work through. After the lesson, I provide students with feedback, review materials, and extra practice materials to solidify the concepts they learned.
