An exceptional student who truly knows how to teach

I had the opportunity to go through my entire school journey with Damien, from 6th grade to Terminale, at the same school. Over all those years, I was able to witness firsthand his seriousness, discipline, and remarkable ability in mathematics and physics. He is undoubtedly one of the brightest students I have ever had the opportunity to know, and he completed his school journey with a BAC with Highest Honors (Mention Très Bien).

What I particularly appreciated about Damien, however, is that he never kept his knowledge to himself. Throughout those years, he was often the person we turned to whenever we struggled with a difficult Math or Physics exercise. He would take the time to go through the reasoning, explain things differently when necessary, and above all, help us understand for ourselves rather than simply giving us the answer. His patience and ability to adapt to the person he is teaching are, in my opinion, some of his greatest qualities as a tutor.

His mathematical achievements also reflect an exceptional level. He won several medals at the Pan-African and Francophone Mathematical Olympiads in 2024 and 2025, before receiving an Honorable Mention at the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). In July 2026, he went on to win the bronze medal at the IMO in Shanghai, becoming the first Cameroonian ever to win a medal in the history of the competition.

For me, it is precisely this combination of exceptional academic ability and a genuine talent for teaching that makes Damien an excellent tutor.
