About the lesson

My Teaching Method and Techniques

My goal as a tutor is to help students learn how to figure out answers on their own instead of just doing the work for them. I use guided questions to help students think through a problem step by step until they find the answer themselves. When an assignment feels too big or overwhelming, I use a method called scaffolding to break it down into small, easy steps. I also show real examples of excellent work and solve problems live during our sessions so students can see exactly how to do it.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

My biggest advantage is that I am a near-peer mentor. Because I am an honors student who is currently taking advanced classes in high school, I am still close to your age and understand exactly what you are going through. I know what modern teachers expect, how school feels today, and how to deal with the stress and distractions that come with it. Students usually feel much less stressed around me because I feel more like a helpful peer than a strict teacher, which makes learning a lot easier and more comfortable.

Who My Lessons Are For

I specialize in tutoring elementary school all the way to 11th grade. My lessons are perfect for students who are taking regular or honors classes and want to boost their grades. I also love working with younger students who want to build great study habits and skills so they are ready for harder high school classes in the future. Because everyone learns differently, I change my teaching style to match how you learn best, whether you need visual pictures, clear lists, or just extra time to practice.
