I am a student at a music school, where I take classes such as music theory and piano lessons that are good influences for doing my own lessons. I also took piano lessons in middle school and have been songwriting for a number of years now.

I think the best way to structure a lesson would be to split it up into a few sections based on the interests of the people. Some of these may include learning theory, reading and playing sheet music, singing to the piano, and songwriting/composing at the piano.
