My approach is to listen to and understand first the desires and problems faced by students in learning Portuguese. After that, then I determine the teaching method that will be tailored to each individual / student. Some of them are divided into several sessions. session 1 listening to problems / reviewing what has been learned. session 2 provides basic material in the form of theory / writing. Session 3 pronunciation / pronunciation (the words most often used in conversation). and other sessions. I will also give one or 2 special meetings to learn Portuguese in a fun way, namely through the media of music, tv shows, and films.
