About Yasmine
I have always been passionate about analytical thinking and the challenge of solving complex problems. This interest naturally led me to study mathematics and physics and to share that enthusiasm through tutoring. I enjoy helping students overcome difficulties that once seemed frustrating and turning them into clear, logical steps they can master.
Teaching is rewarding to me because every student learns differently. I like adapting explanations, examples, and exercises so that each student can find an approach that works for them. Seeing a student go from confusion to confidence is what motivates me most.
My aim is to make lessons engaging, structured, and supportive, so students feel comfortable asking questions and gradually become more independent in their learning.

My goal is to help students truly understand mathematics and physics, not just memorise formulae. I focus on breaking complex concepts into clear, logical steps so students can see why a method works. During lessons, I guide students through problems step by step and encourage them to explain their reasoning, which helps strengthen their analytical thinking and confidence.
My teaching methodology is highly personalised. At the beginning, I identify the student’s strengths, gaps in understanding, and learning style. Based on this, I adapt the pace and structure of the lesson. For example, some students benefit from visual explanations and diagrams, while others prefer solving many practice problems to master a concept. I also use progressively more challenging exercises so students can move from understanding the theory to applying it independently.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and usually follows this structure:
Review of previous material to reinforce understanding and address any difficulties
Clear explanation of new concepts with examples
Guided practice, where we solve problems together step by step
Independent practice, where the student applies the method with my support if needed
I also help students develop effective problem-solving strategies, such as identifying key information in a question, structuring their reasoning clearly, and avoiding common mistakes that often appear in exams.
Academically, I graduated from the Mathematical Sciences Moroccan Baccalaureate with highest honours, a rigorous programme with a strong emphasis on advanced mathematics and physics. I am currently studying Mathematics and Physics in the Science and Engineering programme at University College London.
Alongside my studies, I have three years of experience as an independent tutor, teaching middle school and high school students both in person and online. I have worked with students who needed help strengthening their foundations as well as those aiming to improve their performance and achieve higher grades.
