About Sian
I am a third year student who is currently on a gap year from St. Andrews university, the top university in Scotland; also within the top five universities in the UK.
Currently, I am tutoring at a London agency as well as privately. I tutor 11+ English at the Oxbridge centre. Privately, I tutor a range of ages from 6 to 17 years old in a range of subjects encompassing biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, English literature and English language. As I teach 11+ in both, I know the systematic method in which 11+ students need to be taught in order to succeed.
I study earth sciences at St. Andrews and I am on track for a 2:1. I have taken modules in geology, geography, sustainable development and social anthropology. As a result my knowledge of geology, geography (which I achieved an A in A level) as well as geochemistry and geophysics is quite extensive. Therefore I would love the opportunity to teach geology, geography, geographic information systems, anthropology or geochemistry/physics.
Before university I also worked as a digital media and social marketing executive, which expanded my skills in computing and HTML.
At A level I achieved three As in History, English literature and Geography. I also completed an EPQ on the history of the Han and Roman empires and achieved an A in As French.
My GCSE results, including asset languages mandarin, were: 10A* in R.E., English language, English literature, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, I.C.T., History and Geography. I also achieved 2As in Astronomy and French GCSE.
