About Kara
While currently based in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, I have lived and spent extensive time in French-speaking regions. I have worn many hats in my professional life and worked with people of all different backgrounds and ages. My goal is to meet students at their current level and work with them to establish achievable goals.

I possess a unique perspective on language learning and teaching: I possess a BA in Linguistics and French (with a minor in Spanish) and an MA in French to English Translation, I’ve taught French in the US and English in France, and I’ve used French in specialized professional contexts including automotive financing, nasa hygiene, and the freight railway industry. I am eager to help students not only improve their French, but also connect with aspects of Francophone culture that resonate with them.
