About Raechel

I began my 9 years in education as a Para Pro in an elementary school. As a para pro, I assisted students utilizing one-on-one and small group sessions. During these sessions, I assisted students who struggled with early numeracy and literacy skills. These students varied from being one year behind to four years behind. My lessons included teaching basic phonological and phonemic skills, sentence structure, comprehension and literacy concepts such as homophones and idioms. I also taught addition /subtraction, multiplication, fractions, basic geometry, word problems, decimals/percents and rounding.

About the lesson

I have 9 years of experience assisting students in grades K-5 who struggle with early numeracy and literacy skills. I also have experience with students who have ADD and ADHD. I will take the time to understand your knowledge of the concept and find the best method to break down the concept so that you can get a better understanding. I am patient and understand that not everyone learns the same way. I'll try various methods until we find the best one for you. I can assist with reading, writing, and comprehension needs for ELA students. I can also assist with Math needs from basic numeracy skills to early algebraic concepts.
